Why I'm Boldly Going
In 2013 I watched all of Star Trek. ALL of it. Yes, even the animated series. And the movies. The following was my mission for that year:
My whole life, Star Trek has been there for me. Now, I'm going to be there for it. All of it.
I'm watching all of Star Trek in one year and this is the record I'm keeping of it.
You're welcome to come along.
In 2014 I aimlessly watched miscellaneous episodes of Star Trek and wrote about Trek and other stuff.
In 2015 I re-watched Voyager and wrote specifically about Janeway and her crew.
In 2016 I'm re-watching my first Star Trek love—TNG. This year has been a little difficult thanks to some unforeseen health problems but I've adapted by recording Vlogs alongside my traditional posts.
I'm also an artist and a writer. My graphic essays have been published in places like Neutrons/Protons and The Rumpus and I have a six-book contract with Seventh Star Press. I'm the author of Awesome Jones: A Superhero Fairy Tale and Silver Tongue: A YA Alternate history.

When you say "all of Star Trek" do you mean ALL of it? All 5 shows, the cartoon series, movies, etc? That's really cool! Thanks for putting your thoughts about it on blog so people can see.
ReplyDeleteI accidentally started doing this about a year ago (It's going to take me a year and a couple months to finish) with the slight difference that I went from seeing *no* Star Trek except the 2009 movie and I'm watching all of the eps and movies in the order they came out in real life (so overlapping TNG/DS9 and DS9/Voy). I'll have to go back and see your reactions too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from A Peek At Karen's World! Love your blog...now I'm inspired to watch the shows. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteI just built this flowchart entitled “Can You Beat The Kobayashi Maru Test?" in honor of the new Star Trek movie. It is chock-full of wit and TOS references. Thought you might get a kick out of it. :)
